Strength:
Price, features, and remote.
Weakness:
nothing worth mentioning. ...walked away from an Onkyo to buy this reciever and have never regretted it. Even the sales person said I would be back for the Onkyo. Good staging, excellent tuner and very hard to beat for the money. Similar Products Used: Kenwood KR-V 6050 |

Strength:
Front panel imputs. Plenty of rear panel inputs. Good value
Weakness:
None at this time Easy to hook up and use. Sounds great especially since I was taking a risk buying it. Was buying it for a second receiver for our vacation house but sich my "new" HK 525 receiver was delivered broke this has taken its place and has performed very well Similar Products Used: AVR-80 |

Strength:
Price, 3 optical inputs, component video switching, fold down front panel gives unit a very clean look
Weakness:
none so far After completing numerous hours of research, I found this reciever to have numerous features (component video switching, center preamp output, 3 digital audio in's, ...) that most $350 recievers did not, let alone $219 models. The overall sound quality is suprisingly good for a reciever at this price range, and as with most A/V recievers, the 100 watt/channel is probably a little overrated, but shoudlnt be a problem if you are in this price range. I highly recomend this product to anyone that needs a highly functional, feature laden reciever for under $300. |

Strength:
Ease of operation and general sound quality.
Weakness:
The instruction manual could use some improvement and a phono stage would have been nice to have. But, I can get around those very minor issues. This is a simple receiver to set up and operate. I looked at quite a few others but ended up with this one. Although not planned, it works quite well with the "matching" Pioneer DV-353K dvd player Similar Products Used: None really. |
