RFelger

Strength:

Good solid bottom end of the frequency response from the speaker outputs, even without a sub connected. Easy to read display. Includes a tape loop (tape 2) to easily integrate an equalizer.

Weakness:

Very dependant on the remote for many of it's adjustment. If you don't have the remote, many of the levels of adjustment are unusable.

Strength:

It's reliable and sounds great with vintage pro studio and Cerwin Vega speakers. The sound is crisp and clear. You can hear every instrument being played and the vocals are like being at a great live concert. The key to great sound is great speakers. It's easy to use, love it better than much higher priced receivers as for as great sound.

Weakness:

It's not great with low quality speakers.

Strength:

Reliable; cheap

Weakness:

Not many features.

This is an okay receiver. It still works, which is good. I have since upgraded, so the Pioneer is hooked up to my comupter. Works great for that with some old Bose speakers.
