Strength:

Tiny size, stylish looks, build quality. Multi-remote compatability Sound quality is exceptionally good considering diminutive size. Unique (ish.... um.... sorry pedants).

Weakness:

I suppose the fact that it is only 30 watts - but if you want 100 watts for a large pad, you'd be looking elsewhere

This is an excellent machine, given that the small size has to introduce some compromises. Power is not bad; it's an "honest" 30 watts per channel, and as is likely to be used in a confined space, that is plenty for most purposes. The machine has clean slimline looks, a clear unobtrusive display, and an excellent build quality. The sound quality is quite good, and comparable to similarly priced machines that aren't so tiny. There are a sufficiency of sound modes, and Dilby Digital, DTS and Prologic. The remoteis multi-enabled, and controls most leading makes with no problems. There is limited connectivity at the rear (optical digotal in X3, no coaxial digital, 3(4) analogue in. The cooling fan on my machine VERY rarely cuts in, despite loud use, and anywayit is quiet. Enjoyed using this so much, that I've bought a VSX-C100 (the newer model) for my Lab office.

Strength:

-nice design, flat -Sound

Weakness:

The fan in the back

I bought the Pioneer VSX-C300 receiver right after i bought the DV-444 DVD-player. First of all the receiver looks VERY cool (specially with the DVD-player). And the sound is Superb also. Watching movies (like Jurassic Park III)is pure fun. When i turn the volume to -34, i can feel the bass sounds my couch. I recommend this to all of you who want to buy cool design receiver with superb sound.

Strength:

User friendly panel and remote control, easy to connect all stuff. Look good.

Weakness:

Output effect is not strong enough. Using a little fan (backside) to reduce the heat.

The most slim case AV receiver in this country, 35Wx5 output for DTS and DD mode, you will not expect a very strong effect that it can provide, but it save the room space and good looking. Best matching with Pioneer 533K DVD. A fair deal to take it home using US$255.
