Strength:
Plenty of power, clarity. DTS, 6.1 surround, great price.
Weakness:
Annoying delay when switching sources. The Outlaw receiver compares very favorably with the Yamaha at significantly less expense. The 65 w/channel is plenty of power as compared to the 110 w/channel Yamaha plus the Outlaw has DTS and 6.1 surround mode. I considered much more expensive separates, but after reading favorable reviews in AR I thought I would give it a try, and I have not been disappointed. The Outlaw has brought new life to my M&K speaker system, and with a powered sub, the wattage is more than sufficient. I have yet to reach a volume level that has created any discernible hiss.
