Dolby Digital/DTS, 100W 5.1 for $200

Time consuming and somewhat difficult to set up. Reliability. Only one optical input, not very flexible in terms of in/out jacks available.

Purchased and returned two of the RX6708VBK's before giving up on them and selecting the Kenwood VR509. Each JVC unit had a inoperative subwoofer out, each did not sound as if it was producing 100W, the DAP/DSP sound modes were not impressive.

It would not be a reasonable argument to assume that since the product was purchased at a wholesale club that the manufacturer would somehow be excused from producing a quallity product.

Set up of the unit was time consuming and somewhat difficult as well. The manual could have been better.

As I shopped for a replacement, I uncovered the Kenwood VR509. For less than another $100 it is night and day. You will not be disappointed.
