Harman Multimedia AVR 745 7.1 Channels Receiver A/V Receivers

Digital audio meets digital video. Ready for the future, the AVR 745’s DCDi® by Faroudja video processing flawlessly upscales all incoming video to 720p or 1080i high definition and outputs it through an HDMI™ jack. On the audio side, direct HDMI connection to compatible DVD-Audio players, USB playback from compatible digital audio sources and XM-Ready® capability for digital satellite radio greatly expand your digital options. (Optional XM antenna module and subscription to XM service required. Hardware and service sold separately. XM service is not available in Alaska or Hawaii.) Our advanced EzSet/EQ II system, 7.2-channel capability, TC 30 remote and more make this the most flexible AVR we’ve ever produced.

I bought this unit 2 weeks ago. It is 14 years old, but it does not make its age. It sounds amazing. It is the heaviest amplifier that I ever had. The sound quality is impressing. Harman Kardon makes really high end stuff. I use an external SMSL DAC. I drive a pair of Canton GLE 470 and a canton sub. The presets stays flat. No need of adding bass or treble. This reciever is made to drive high end speakers. 100w per channel on stereo mode. I got it for only 200$ cad.

It heats up. I mean really. It can replace a furnace in my home. I ordered a silent 5v 80mm fan from Noctua. I hope it will help.
