Crisp clear sound!!! and very natural.

Not enough digital ports!!!

I have not had the disappointment that others have had with HK products. I've noticed that there are many reviews that compare HK to Pioneer, Sony, Kenwood, these are units that you buy at Sears, they should not even be placed in the same catagory as HK!!!! This is a great sounding unit and if you spent time listening to it you will find what most peeps have said about it, (Its a great sounding unit)! I have to question what's been said about there not being enough power, what kind of speakers are you guys using? I don't even use a powered SUB,(JBL passive sub) and my neighbors are ready to kick me off the block! My only problem with this unit is the lack of componet video and 1 optical digital input, that sux! I've listened to many systems that cost many time the amount this unit lists for and this HK is right up there with the best of them!

Great Natural Sound

got it from Ubid for $309+shipping. the unit was fine til it started sending humming noises to my speakers. got them (psb speakers) new at the same time. The sound of the avr65 is great but the unit does run a bit hot. Called Ubid and returned the unit the very next day. Wish it had worked. For those of you looking for a good receiver, try Onkyo Txds777, Sony es555, yamaha rxv795 or 995, marantz sr-7000, nakamichi av-10 and nad 760. all great units. don't worry about audiophile criticisms. all the above mentioned receivers will all sound great in your house. out!

Great sound, Hi power outputs

Complexed remote control, Sensitive volume

First thing, It's a great receiver, i never had something like this before, and belive me that i encountered some receivers before.
The sound is great, No technical problems, great output volume in a very big room.
I do not know what some of the writers are talking about, this receiver is more than i expcacted, great sound in stereo & ac-3. decoder included.
I connected to it a pair of jbl tlx-8 and my old pair of morel for surround sound, my center is Jamo.
Great sound in ac-3 and in dts. no distortion or any other problems, i had a little tv distortions at first but i changed the coax and it's gone.
What more i have to write, its a great receiver in a great price (for israeli scale)
