Strength:

One definite strength is the power and quality. I had mine connected to Martin Logan electrostatic speakers in a 5.1 configuration and was quite impressed with its ability to give relatively robust power to that caliber of speaker, as well as the rears without skipping a beat. I also like the asthetics of the component as well. The silver finish gives it a high end feel and timeless look. All in all a good receiver that continues to preform almost 15 years later.

Weakness:

My only complaint would be the setup and menus. It is definitely not for a novice to home theater setup. I find it very annoying that whenever I hit the enter button it returns to the previous screen. But that's with all the Denon receivers I've seen.
