In combination with the right source an the right speakers this pre/end gives a fantastic sound stage with very clear and natural voices and mid range, very much and accurate details and very good dephts. The battery-option lifts the performance again and it sounds more spatial. Overall, al great, heavy weight amplifier, with musical power. I miss nothing on it.

i use this pre-end combination for a while now and i'm ready for my conclusion.
first of all it is the most beautiful pre-end combination i ever saw !! in the beginning i was not so happy with the sound of it. i payed a lot and it gave not the warm sound like my bryston 4b or pioneer a-91d. but i found the problem. with the infinity gamma i can't do wrong, but the source is soo important. now with a good dac like my musical fidelity V-DAC the music is with so much resolution. every detail is so perfect and the feeling of the earth shaking ... everything is so in place. i only owned 1 amp with the same sound and that is the Pioneer A-09.
the bryston does not have so much detail. the higts the mids and the lows are not so good as the technics, but the bryston is an amp that play with every speaker. the technics can only sound great if everything is right. try a vinyl and try different speakers. the search will pay off !!

It gives very trasparent full body stereo image sound. It reproduces great sound playing live recorded music-rock pop classic .Comparing with Krell kav500i Su-c3000,Se-a3000 is more musical, without ear fatuige.Very prominent reverbarations of vocals,if there are on recordings, that sounds good.Lows are more tight comparing with other Technics amps and it has reserve of them and gives that reserve if he needs.Sometimes there are slight hardening in voices, but they pretty good.Katie Melua vocal sounds fantastic. The highs are diffrent from Krell, more realistic I would say.Sounstage is not so good like Krell''s,but pretty darn good. The preamp has option for bi-amping.
