The Premier speaker stands represent an excellent value in audiophile grade speaker stand......if you are the type of person who does not mind small tweaks in order to get equipment up to snuff. The stands are made of steel and are painted in a high gloss black. Carpet spikes as well as vibration isolation pads are included with the stands. Even though the spikes are adjustable in order to accomodate rather lumpy floors, the stands seem to lean. Lean you say, what can you do to tweak that? Well flip that baby over and take a little muscle to the bottom bracket and bend it until it is flat (you might hear that 6 million dollar man sound effect). The stands themselves can be filled with shotgun pelts in order to make them more "dead" although no instructions were given on how to do this.
Overall the C-70 provides a fairly stable speaker stand and at a price point of about $80 you get the workout for free!

Well I admit it.. it's tough writing a review of Speaker stands.. really..

I am not one of those who will extol the virtues of stands and how it changed their lives by bringing their system to life etc etc.. enough research has been done to cast serious doubts on the effect of tweaks like different grade of speaker stands..

Suffice to say that these are the recommended speaker stands for Paradigm speakers and they suit my need well. i have a carpeted room so the spikes came in very handy. They are shipped with small rubber pieces that hold u'r speaker in it's place..

You should definitely fill them up for a sturdier effect.. I have yet to find the time to go out to get that much sand/pellets/cat litter but intend to fill them up.. they should turn solid that way..

Very easy to handle.. not many sharp edges.. a plus when they are being handled by a klutz like me.. ;-) I still can't believe at my luck.. bought them brand new at $65 a piece all taxes included!! a great deal on some great speaker stands..

I have Paradigm Titan Speakers mounted on these babies.

Go Premier if you have Paradigm bookshelves.. they are the recommended stand by Paradigm.
