In another review for this subwoofer, a guy said he was looking for room shaking bass, but didn't get it. He obviously didn't touch the volume or crossover. when I turned the volume of the sub up, and had my reciever at about 1/3 full power (out of 200 watts) things were falling off of my dresser across the room...for a fairly cheap sub, this thing KICKS. the volume control and crossover make a very big difference in the quality of sound reproduction. It is definately worth the money to buy a sub with these controls. The only problrm with these controls is they are somewhat hard to adjust with the remote. The sub would be a 5star if it had rotary volume and crossover controls. My only disapointment was finding out other people got a better bargain. Strengths:
