Price Paid:  $2300.00 from The Sound Concept

Summary:
This is a niche product, but it's probably the *best* in it's little niche. If you *have* to mount speakers on the wall or ceiling, yet want the very best sound quality available (esp. for matching with other Thiels, as in my multichannel case), this is probably the way to go. Really, the only qualification I have to my recommendation is the rather steep price (gulp!). But I have not been the least bit disappointed in the *performance* of any Thiel loudspeaker (CS1.6, CS2.4, SCS3, PowerPoint) I've purchased in the last few years. I've just always wished they could offer something *nearly* as good for substantially less money... But no one else seems able to do this either, so at least you get what you pay for with Thiel. Great if you can afford it, then; but hardly a "bargain." These have no deep bass, so they really need a subwoofer for full range performance. But that was by design; in fact, it's probably a requirement for any truly successful wall-mount speaker, I might guess. After break-in (which is absolutely necessary with these), the midrange and highs are crystal clear Thiel all the way, with gobs of detail yet no fatiguing brittleness. And some break-in also opens up what bass these do offer, too.

Strengths:
Unbelievably musical and clear for a mountable speaker, and likely besting *any* in-walls/in-ceilings with relatively minimal (and perhaps even attractive) visual impact. Very flexible solution that mounts to walls, ceilings, or even the floor, if you want!

Weaknesses:
Very PRICEY. No bass below 75Hz. Not suitable for *every* mounting location (e.g. rear/front walls). Cabinet is a little big, esp. in its longest dimension (~19").

Moscode 402Au OLT stereo power amplifier Review

George is adamant about the fact that the Moscode 402Au is not just a tube gain stage slapped onto a solid-state power amplifier; rather, it is a tube amplifier with a MOSFET output stage.

Lowther’s DX-65 driver in the Teresonic Magus XR Review

A new driver from Lowther is real news. A new five inch driver is even rarer news, so it was with great anticipation that I waited on this pair of speakers to arrive.

Aune Mini Headphone DAC User Review

The unit arrived from China well packed and everything seem to be in place. No external abuse by the carriers. The only problem was the power supply it came with. The box came with a cheap step-down converter.
