This wall-mount shelf if the perfect choice for someone with suspended wood floors or, in my case, an AV setup in which the turntable cannot be part of another audio rack. (A 47-inch LCD TV determined that!)
One must take care to make sure the shelf is level; even if level along the wall, the front-to-back level is important and tricky to achieve. I used a bubble level and was able to mount it correctly after several measurements. (Note that this is intended for stud mounting. It comes with pre-drilled holes but no directions.)
The screw anchors are not particularly strong enough for a wallboard situation like mine. I got six toggle anchors from the hardware store for $2.50 to assure it is secure.
My Music Hall MMF-5 was raised to a new level of performance after placing it on the shelf. Separation and soundstage are especially improved.
