Tara Labs RSC Air 3
5 Reviews
rating  4.8 of 5
MSRP
Description: All RSC Air Series interconnects use an "Isolation Air-Tube", a new extruded teflon tube (with hollow channels along the inner wall to separate the positive and negative RSC conductors from each other), which allows the conductors to be basically suspended in air. The result is a clean, crisp signal. The conductors are TARA's Rectangular Solid Core® conductors.

Review NaN of , from VA

Price Paid:  $295.00

Summary:
Excellent transparency. Everything you want from a cable! The Air 1 are better, but at over twice the price. Compared to the Cardas Quadlink 5C's I was using previously, the Air 3's had a much warmer presentation without sacrificing detail. These cables are fantastic at their price point.

Review NaN of , from hong kong

Price Paid:  $300.00

Summary:
I attached this cable to my Sony DVP9000ES(DVD/CD/SACD player) as analog interconnect for CD and SACD listening. At the time I just connected it without 'burnt-in', the sound is terribly good. Wonderful stage performance, high resolution, crystal high and mid frequencies are found. I am wondering how it will sound after fully 'burnt-in' status. But the weakness may be the low frequency, seems to be untamed and dry mid frequency.

Strengths:
high resolution, delightful high and mid frequencies with good stage performance

Weaknesses:
the cable is rigid and hard to bend, money is always an issue

Review NaN of , from Denmark

Price Paid:  $345.00 from Hihi-klubben

Summary:
Do youreslf a favor and test this interconnect out. It provides great performance for its price. You could not get better overall performance in my mind - the law of diminishing returns sets in when paying any more than this for a interconnect. I noted a significantly improved overall sound in my system. The background was much quieter (incredible), nice balance to sound, with clear but not overemphasized highs. The bass was as good as with previous interconnects (deep, robust, tight, and dynamic soundind). It matches well with my Parasound AVC-2500, Bryton 4B ST, and my PSB Stratus Gold i speakers. I could not be happier, as I found this pair of 0.6m with RCAs for $345.00. Taralabs has produced a winner with this interconnect.

Strengths:
Sound/price, build quality.

Weaknesses:
None found yet.

Review NaN of , from San Francisco

Summary:
Just installed these cables as a replacement for old Monster cables between my DVD/SACD player (a new Sony 9000ES) and my preamp. I was considering getting another Tara Reference Gen 2 (to match the cable between my preamp and power amp), but decided to go another step up with the "Air" line. The Air3 is the entry level cable in this series. I immediately noticed upon playing CDs and SACDs that there is a dramatic opening up of the soundstage, combined with more transparency and depth, compared to my previous cable. VERY impressive. As with all good cable, these need to be broken in with at least 24 hours of play time, which is less than for most other high end cables (so my dealer tells me). I can hardly imagine them sounding better!

Strengths:
Soundstaging, transparency

Weaknesses:
none so far...

Similar Products Used:
Tara Reference Gen 2, Monster

Review NaN of , from LONG ISLAND

Summary:
Well I swithched from balanced XLR Blue Heavens from
Nordst to these and the results where amazing the vocals which had been thin and whispy with the Blue Heavans was now full and natural. Sibilance was just about eliminated and the Soundstage and Depth increased dramatically. This is the best cable I ever have owned and I have demoed many.
Cannot repeat cannot beat for the price $300 1 meter pair.
The Air 3 put more Air in my music.

Strengths:
Vocals, Soundstage and Depth

Weaknesses:
None

Nordst Blue Heavean
