Well, as I have a degree in Audio Engineering and Electronics I never would have believed that cables
made any difference. I mean sure big fat speaker cable would have less resistance but at best it was subtle, I thought.
Bless my local HiFi store, they let me take home tow cables, MIT T2 and Audioquest Topaz. My mind was blown! You
could not have two more different cables. The AQs lush midrange at first appealed to me but I realized the image was bloated badly,
the MIT seemed very accurate in height, width, & depth so I bought that. Then a friend sold me an "audiophile" CDROM a Rotel 955AX and it was
a whole new ball game! I became obsessed, then a pair of ADS L1230s after My Ohm Fs fell apart and I was picky, picky.
I started shopping on Ebay late in '97, I'd been on the internet since the beginning. Knowing silver had a greater conductance
I bit on an auction for the original FLR cable from Stealth. Wow, I mean the MIT sounded like crap comparatively. So much more transparency,
frequency extensions, and my obsession, imaging. I was thrilled and bought some more. My friends were bowled over too. Since then I have followed
every product from Stealth. I still audition other cables, Kimber, D&H, Supra, Cardas, Monster, etc but none of them hold a candle to
Stealth cables. The next year brought the CWS and exquisite Ribbon. Then I sprang for the URs and thought I died and went to heaven. Speaker
cables are about the most important cable, everything runs through them. Still the source is also critical. Digital cables are a whole
other rap but the Varidig definitely exceeds the Orchid D-60 in many ways. I've stuck with Stealth from the beginning and have never been even remotely
dissatisfied. I think I have a pair of pretty much every model, including the truly awesome PGS 3D Cryo, I almost cried when I heard them so incredible they are in
every way, the low level information and ambiance preservation is staggering. I have an acquaintance who was a reviewer for Audio magazine
for many years. He has heard a zillion systems, components, and cables (he was designer himself too) I put on a CD from MALabs, Howard Levy's, "The Old Country".
People I tell you there is no greater satisfaction then a jaw hitting the floor and true involuntary, "Wow!", I mean he almost fell off the couch! I owe it to
Stealth products. They have no peer. Their streng Strengths:
Transparency, micro dynamics, low level information, frequency extension. I believe
these products to have measurably lower distortion than competing products. Weaknesses:
They are addictive! Similar Products Used:
Many, many other brands. Especially interconnects,
and digital cables ( I have about 20 that I own.)
