Review 1 of 2

Price Paid:  $375.00 from Second Hand

Summary:
Before purchasing the Siltech cable I was using hand made pure silver PTFE insulated interconnects in a £7000 system and did not expect to improve on their excellent performance. Therefore when I first fitted the Siltech cable I was not surpised to hear a very similer sound, really excellent but on a par with the pure silver interconnect. However, over the next few days when listening to CDs i thought I new inside out I started to hear detail I had not relised existed, base lines I had not been aware of before, I just started to find that I was tapping my feet more and simply enjoying the music to a greater degree. Although this cables does not initially jump out at you, give it an hour or two and you will be amazed at what you were missing. This cable is quite simply amazing.
Above price is in GBPs

Strengths:
Adds nothing and takes nothing away just does a disappearing act and presents the music as it is.

Flat frequency respose across the entire audio spectrum

Weaknesses:
Expensive when compared to similar cables such as the Chord Signature.

Similar Products Used:
Chord Signature interconnects

Pure silver multi-stranded PTFE interconnects

poor imaging, no mid bass, weak construction, long break in time

Marantz MA-9S2 Power AmplifierThe list above has one tenet that I continue to hold true: high powered amplifiers are necessary to reproduce the full dynamic range of music with most speakers. This became apparent when I changed from the 100 Watt per channel Bella Extreme 100 to the 250 Watt.....

The unit arrived from China well packed and everything seem to be in place. No external abuse by the carriers. The only problem was the power supply it came with. The box came with a cheap step-down converter.
