from Future Shop Summary: After blowing through numerous cheaper earphones with my iPod, i decided to spend a little extra on something that would hopefully last longer. Thus far i am very impressed. I haven't experienced any of the troubles that i had had with others such as jack connection issues or blowing one phone out. The durability hasn't been tested to the extremes, but they have been used in many situations: walking around, running, working out, sleeping, and at home listening. The sound quality is also something that I was impressed with. The bass response is acceptable for myself who primarily listens to rap/hip-hop which requires its fair share of deeper tones. Even at louder volumes, the sound stays clear unlike many other earphones I've used that distort with the bass tones. With the in-ear style, the noise blockage is good enough that high volumes are generally unneeded.
Living on a student budget, the purchase was under question but has been worth it due to the fact that I would have gone through many more earphones through the time I've used these. This coming from experience: iPod earphones lasted 2 months after iPod purchase, Skull Candy Smokin' Buds lasted 2 weeks, Roots earphones lasted 1 day.
If you use your portable music players daily I would recommend investing in a set of these! Strengths: sound quality, durability Weaknesses: cord length could be longer, after prolonged use (hours at a time) ears get tender and sore. Similar Products Used: iPod earphones, SkullCandy Smokin' Buds
