Summary:
the rmb 1077 is exactly what i was told by my audio sales guy it would be. Although many dont like class D equipment, it fits my needs EXACTLY. I was running 2 pair of b & w 602s3 and 1 pair of 601with a yamaha rxv 2500. although the sound quality was o.k., the yamaha had too large of a load. my room is fairly large so that is the reason i have so many speakers and also i have never really enjoyed simply 2-channel sound. I just love to have the whole room filled with sound. So as the Rotel salesman said, this Rotel amp was exactly the right thing. When the first currents hit my speakers, it was a totally different sound. The 602s are fairly power hungry speakers which could shut down my yamaha fairly easily, but this amp, even with all 6 speakers playing, just powers them effortlessly through even the most demanding loads I have put on it. The differences are absolutely vivid in the low, mids, and highs. This Rotel just plainly livens up those b & ws in an awesome way. I have never owned a really high end system, but for mid grade, this entire system is very well matched, and is very satisfying. I cant compare this amp/speaker match to something using a class A/B amp, because I havent got one, and every room will have its own listening environment, but I am certainly a believer in class D tech. Another thing about this amp is that it is unobtrusive and clean it fits effortlessly into an audio system. Really classy. I am using my rxv 2500 as my pre-amp so possibly I am losing a bit of sound quality there, but most listeners with their eyes closed would have a hard time telling what is being used as the pre-amp on my system. Someday perhaps a dedicated pre-amp will be in the picture. Everyone has their own idea/s of what is satisfying sound for them, and for me I really believe this Rotel/b & w combo is a fantastic fit.

Moscode 402Au OLT stereo power amplifier Review

George is adamant about the fact that the Moscode 402Au is not just a tube gain stage slapped onto a solid-state power amplifier; rather, it is a tube amplifier with a MOSFET output stage.

Lowther’s DX-65 driver in the Teresonic Magus XR Review

A new driver from Lowther is real news. A new five inch driver is even rarer news, so it was with great anticipation that I waited on this pair of speakers to arrive.

Aune Mini Headphone DAC User Review

The unit arrived from China well packed and everything seem to be in place. No external abuse by the carriers. The only problem was the power supply it came with. The box came with a cheap step-down converter.
