Rega useses their own type of drivers, and their own type of crossovers. In fact, the mid range and the bass unit use a special type of crossover with only one resistor, beacuse use the natural working frecuency of the bass and midrange to work.

These kind of crossover (like a full bandwith speaker) reduces dramatically the distortion to zero.

The midrange is sweet and clear, and the midrange and tweeter are totally separated from the bass unit.
