This is my only pair of speakers I had on price tag new around £300. Anyway I got them of ebay for £52. when I got them home I was speechless. So much more details compare to my previous pair. Very deep bass and great voices. Not much soundstage. For that you must pay couple hundred more. But they go under £80 second hand and for that I give them 5 star. Good for any music and treble are not harsh even on brightest amps, so you can pair it with anything.

Fast and dynamic sound, all round ability with all types of music

In my humble opinion, the MS914s are superb value for money. I used to have a pair of Mission 773s and they had a smooth, refined, laid back kind of presentation which was pleasing on the ear with all types of music. However, they cost about £150.00 more than the MS914s. I had grown a bit bored with the Missions and decided to audition the MS914s as replacements after reading some reviews. I was amazed with the all-round clarity of sound and excellent dynamics. They are fast and rythmic and made the music come alive.They have bass to die for......if its deep enough they'll play it....allied to a wonderfully clear mid-range and a treble that sings and you have a real bargain considering their low price. I have them at the end of a Marantz system comprising CD5001 cd player (superlative !!...read the other reviews on this player) an a PM4200 amplifier.

The resulting sound is quite astounding considering the total outlay. I would definately recommend these speakers to anyone looking to upgrade and have the floorspace for them.
