from Local Dealer Summary: Please see my review of the G68 processor in addition to this review. The 5200 is the first speaker from Meridian that really made me think about jumping into the Meridian family. The resolution, soundstage and detail that these speakers are capable of producing is nothing short of impressive. As I noted with the G68, these need to be part of a Meridian system to sound their best. While it is true that you can connect any digital source and these will play, you will be missing out on so much. In addition to the sound quality, they look great! It is hard to believe that such a diminutive speaker can sound so full and rich! I am very please with these speakers. Of course, as I noted with the G68, it is possible to get better sound from a traditional analog system, but you would have to spend much more. Strengths: Detail/resolution;
Micro-dynamics;
Soundstage; and
Asthetics Weaknesses: Needs a Meridian system to sound its best.
Objectively, an expensive product. Similar Products Used: B&W Nautilus 802 and 805;
Audio Physic Virgo III and Tempo II;
