Price Paid:  $500.00 from AudioCinema

Summary:
This amplifier is one of the best I heard and its a remarkable piece of engineering from Marantz, also this amplifier is the best election by its low price compared with others of the same characteristics.
It offers a great pitch purity in the high and mid frequencies and a great depth in the low tones.
I've never been tired of used it with my pair of Paradigm Monitor 7 loudspeakers.
With this amplifier you can listen for hours without getting tired. I usually listen Jazz, rock and Blues, also classical and latin music, the equipment has been totally stable with this type of music, which has been reproduced without problem.
The characteristic that I like most, is the button to put into operation the class A, in which the amplifier works at 25W RMS of unmatched quality and purity tonal performance, and when you need power, just press the button again and you have 100 W of pure power in class AB mode.
This piece of fine technology reminds me the vintage amplifiers the 80's years, since it has entrances for turntables, two tapes and also for digital devices like CD's, SACDS, DVD, MD and others.
It brings me a lot of hours of enjoyment and that it wants to re-listen my music collection again...I really recommend this amplifier.

Strengths:
Powerful, cristal clear, great performace, all that you need in an power amp without a pre-amp, remote control , true class A operation.

Weaknesses:
You need the remote control to turn on the amplifier after putting it in stand-by mode.
it really goes HOT when you using it in the class A mode.

The unit arrived from China well packed and everything seem to be in place. No external abuse by the carriers. The only problem was the power supply it came with. The box came with a cheap step-down converter.
