I bought these speakers for back surround use. I also use them for listening to SACD or DVDA in surround sound.
These are great little speakers very accurate, not much at all in the bass department. I have a velodyne sub for deep bass. These little speakers rock when listening to dark side of the moon in multi-channel sacd or listening to a dvd with a DTS-ES 6.1 they bring incredible belivability and realism to the soundstage. Strengths:
clean accurate sound quality. gold colored woofers in the reference series look and sound classy. the horns are so accurate and in your face. these speakers have that Klipsch dynamic sound. they are superb as surround speakers and would be great for front speakers in a small stereo or home theater setup Weaknesses:
bass response but who would want a 5 1/4 inch woofer to put out deep bass? these are a little pricey but not too bad. the lack of a real wood veneer like in their fuller sized cousins would be nice. or at least an option for it. Similar Products Used:
