Review 1 of 3

Price Paid:  $0.00 from Media Markt

Summary:
I have been using this sub for 6 months now and am extremely pleased with the results. I have this sub connected to a Sherwood 6095 Amp with mission surround speakers all round. The bass is very punchy and precise compared to numerous other subs in the same price range. I use this for movies and music (R&B,Hip-Hop and even classical!)and find that it is very versatile and integrates perfectly with my other speakers. With respect to the depth i feel that it goes more than low enough for domestic use and is impressive for an 8". I tried mid priced 10" and 12" subs and found them to be very boomy and the bass seemed to be sluggish when listening to music. Overall i feel that is is a well priced unit that for a medium sized room is more than adequate. I would certainly purchase again.

Strengths:
Punch, clarity, build quality.

Weaknesses:
None.

Review 2 of 3

Price Paid:  $308.00

Summary:
This sub costs almost nothing and that's what you get, nothing. Yes there is sound, it makes noizzze. But deep bass, it just can't. What would you expect at the price? I recommend all manufacturers not to produce such subs and all buyers to spend some more money. With Kef this means you buy at least a PSW4000 and you'll be happy, but it costs a lot more. I use two Jamo D6 15inch subs for home theatre and they sound devastating, they give the right feeling of what a good sub is supposed to do. My advice is do not waste your money on those tiny subs.

Strengths:
Cute looks, but no more than that.

Weaknesses:
This small thing does not produce bass.

Review 3 of 3

Price Paid:  $260.00 from KOMTEH

Summary:
A two weeks ago I replaced my old sub JVC SP PW880 sub with this one. I found out that the bass sound is now exeptionally clear and well defined. The other part of the system is: Technics SA DX 1050 receiver, FIDEK Matrix front speakers (floorstanders)- 620 MA, Matrix center and surrounds ( Matrix bookshelfs 510 SA). This sub gives much better feel when used as addition for music listening in comparation with previous JVC sub. But, I must say, the bass is not as deep as I expected. In my opinion it goes down somewhere to 45-50 Hz (JVC goes down almost to 30 Hz). The power rating is 100W RMS. It gives enough sound pressure to blow you out when watching DVD (home theatre). The scenes from StarWars, Epizode II (Attach of the clones) sounds superb. The sub has volume control, crossfrequency control (80-120 Hz) and phase control (continuously from 0-180 deg) for proper adjustment. On my system, the volume control button is pushing to cca 80% of span and receiver sub control is set to 20 (MAX). These are the settings where everything sounds OK. In comparison with old JVC sub (60W RMS) thatis strange because the settings for JVC were 50% of span for volume control and receiver sub control is set to 10 (50 % of span (0-20(MAX)). The construction is exceptionally good as well as design (cube style).

Strengths:
Clear and well defined as well as powerfull bass sound. Construction. Design. Controls.

Weaknesses:
Bass sound does not go very deep

The unit arrived from China well packed and everything seem to be in place. No external abuse by the carriers. The only problem was the power supply it came with. The box came with a cheap step-down converter.
