Review 1 of 15

Price Paid:  $600.00

Summary:
Absolutely amazing speakers. If you cant stand brightness in some of the newer towers defiantly try to find a pair of these.

Strengths:
Great bass with the 2 8'' side firing subs. Soundstage is amazing. Sounds good on carpeted floors with the spikes on bottom. I would recommend these speakers to anyone who believes in (classic) products.

Weaknesses:
Absolutly none. Hard to move.

Review 2 of 15

Price Paid:  $725.00 from ebay

Summary:
Great sounding speakers. Very smooth midrange and treble, strong bass. Soundstage is very wide and deep. I've already spent a few weekends digging out old cds to see how they sound on these. Just purchased the powered sub version (APS 5+2), so these will be heading to the rear. If you are fortunate enough to be able to find a pair of these I would highly recommend them.

Strengths:
Smooth frequency response; ample bass for music programming; Large lifelike soundstage

Weaknesses:
Subwoofer still needed for movies.

Review 3 of 15

Price Paid:  $1000.00

Summary:
Recommended. I love these speakers. Energy produces quality, Canadian made speakers. They are a little pricey for the first time buyer who only wants to spend 3-4 G's on their entire system, but once you listen to them you will be hooked.

Strengths:
Sound comes from all over with the proper setup.

Weaknesses:
Difficult to move around.

Review 4 of 15

Price Paid:  $1200.00 from Good Guys

Summary:
I love these speakers. I first had a Sony receiver, but just upgraded to the Denon 3801 and I love the speakers even more. Sound is very crisp and clear.

My system:
Denon 3801 (DTS ES)
Energy A5+2
Energy RVSS (surround)
Enegey AC300 (center)
Energy XLR 12" (sub)

I really like the set, I think the sub woofer could be better.

Definitly a good buy.

Nav

Strengths:
Awesome speakers

Weaknesses:
None, hard to move.

Review 5 of 15

Price Paid:  $750.00 from A&B SOUND

Summary:
I received my speakers about 3 weeks ago and its been nothing but great. Although I don't have the preferred set up, to close to the side wall, they still sound excellent. For you bass maniacs, as long as your running an appropriate amplifier to it, these speakers will pound. I just ordered bettercables.com to see if it makes an audioable difference. I hope so, the cables cost me 350.00 Canadian. ( I choose 3 meter, banana plug, biwired. ) I will let you know if it makes a 300.00 difference. Overall I am really impressed with these speakers.

Strengths:
great power, excellent bass, nice piano finish,

Weaknesses:
the cloth covering is easily ripped, otherwise nothing

Marantz MA-9S2 Power AmplifierThe list above has one tenet that I continue to hold true: high powered amplifiers are necessary to reproduce the full dynamic range of music with most speakers. This became apparent when I changed from the 100 Watt per channel Bella Extreme 100 to the 250 Watt.....

The unit arrived from China well packed and everything seem to be in place. No external abuse by the carriers. The only problem was the power supply it came with. The box came with a cheap step-down converter.
