Review 1 of 27

Price Paid:  $1600.00

Summary:
I've spent a lot of time comparing speakers. I was even willing to spend 3000 dollars or more. But these speakers just did it for me. Mid, low, high, you will hear everything in detail and good balance, from Bach to the Red Hot Chilli Peppers. A lot of reviewers mention that you need an powerful amp, but that is not my experience. My Shengya hybrid integrated amp is 2x70 W and that is plenty.

Strengths:
Natural, almost three dimensional sound, excellent balance.

Weaknesses:
None, as far as I'm concerned. If you have a (semi-) tube-amp, these speakers will send you to heaven (or hell, if you're into that kind of thing).

Review 2 of 27

Price Paid:  $1209.00 from Local Store at Dhaka

Summary:
I have never experience anything like that. It is so beautiful that I can hear it for almost all day long and not getting tired. The cds I almost give up for listening and now I am listening them. The vocal is the main strength of Dyna, mid is OK and highs are great. But these speakers need power a lot of power and of course the setup is very expansive as well. If one can feed it right it will rock. Smooth and very tight base, treble is very sweet. The good thing about dyna is it will go up and up if you go up with your system upgrading. For the money you pay it is almost twice as much as you get. Conclusion it is a fine production of Denmark. And frankly speaking maybe I will not buy any other brand speaker in the near future rather than Dynaudio.

Strengths:
Powerfull vocal & tight base.

Weaknesses:
Does not work well with inexpensive setup.

Similar Products Used:
B & W, Mission.

Review 3 of 27

Price Paid:  $600.00 from Used (private)

Summary:
This pair of speakers are fair value for the sound quality. But it really needs a beefy amp to drive. Not until I upgraded to a Plinius did I hear the sweet high and liquid mid range from them. It is not easy to get extented and tuneful bass unless the amp is up to it. Once well partnered with a good amp, it can be driven to very high volume level without strain. In fact, it is superbly dynamic at high vol level. I do not use the foam bung for the rear port as it inhibits this dynamism to a great extent. This speaker can proudly complement a very expensive setup.

Strengths:
Sturdily built. Neutral. Very full-bodied midrange and sweet highs.

Weaknesses:
Does not support spade connectors. Need a really good amp (aka expensive) to drive it properly. do not support biwiring or biamping.

Similar Products Used:
Missions speakers.

Marantz MA-9S2 Power AmplifierThe list above has one tenet that I continue to hold true: high powered amplifiers are necessary to reproduce the full dynamic range of music with most speakers. This became apparent when I changed from the 100 Watt per channel Bella Extreme 100 to the 250 Watt.....
