Review 1 of 4

Price Paid:  $1200.00 from bombay india

Summary:
Actually the review that follows is for the CLS15 and not the CLSC and since the cls15 is the improved version to its precursor midel clsc and since i did not find the cls154 model reviewed herein , i have included it here.
These spks are really good, outstanding value for money, reproduce solid tight and powerful bass ( at a equidistant distance of about 15 ft the bass at about 10-15 rms literally shakes one physically and one can feel vibrations going through the furniture seats ir the cair where i sit) and the mids and highs are clear, well balanced, dynamic and sweet. Ithink these spks require some attn whiole finding the proper placing for them if the room is too small then the listerner will ot really be bale to apprecaite the performance. I think a minimum of 20 ft sq area is required. I am usinf a technics powerramp 180 rms and it can drive them well.

Strengths:
wwll designed, good weight which i ahve always believed to be important when buying heavy duty spks , excellent response and power handling cpapacity i usualy dont exceed rms 10-20 but at times to go up top rms 50-80 Byond rms 10-20 the true performance of the spkjs can be guaged.Excellent value for money.

Weaknesses:
If tthe front grills ( which now cover the whole front ) were more easily removable it would have been nice.

Review 2 of 4

Price Paid:  $1200.00 from 2001 audiovideo

Summary:
For the longest time I've been looking for speakers that would do well in a party atmosphere. as you may know the 12in. speaker has almost been completely remove from the marketplace in favor of smaller more audio video style speakers thank god for cerwin vega. I finally tracked down a store that sold these monsters and my first headache was the transportation of these the behemoths. but after I got them home setting them up to the correct sound became more ofa problem, no matter how much I fiddled with my preamp and amplifier combination the bass was just too much and the highs and midrange were lacking basic VOL. so I finally gave up and tossed the old amp in favor of a brand new yamaha s3500p with 350 Watts per channel into eight ohms. my friends that solved everything and the true awesome power of the speakers were at last revealed. the day I decided to change the amplifier was also the day that we held a large birthday party. that was one of the best birthday parties I had been part of it about eight years in a certain that those amazing speakers and that power amp had a great deal to do with its success.

Strengths:
market monopoly on party speakers very large very powerful exactly what you want for music in a large venue, cleaning clear loud would sound that's non fatiguing and gets you out of your seat

Weaknesses:
the only weakness lies in the consumer's ignorance that these speakers only show their true power when driven by a power amp. preferably one with 350 watts per channel or more

Similar Products Used:
generic nineteen eighties 12in. speakers all in one component cabinets example techniques and the like

Review 3 of 4

Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:
These are the best speakers I have ever had the pleasure to listen to. This is not a foolish buy: these speakers are designed to last and give superior quality.

Strengths:
Pumps out very loud sound without sounding fuzzy- something that most people hate, myself included. Wonderful Bass and sound.

Weaknesses:
You can easily blow the fuses if a heavy CD is played loud, but they cost like, a buck and are easy to replace

Similar Products Used:
I have listened to other speakers, but none of them compare to these speakers.

Review 4 of 4

Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:
This speaker is a great buy in my opinion. A pair of these will provide you with all the audio power you need. At 400W (RMS) a piece, these speakers are definately party material. The bass is literally earthshaking and tremendously deep, while the mid's and highs are well matched to provide crystal clear highs and natural, smooth and accurate sounding vocals. At first i was somewhat skeptical about how these would sound (in terms of high's and mids) because i knew that Cerwin Vega's strenght is BASS. Cerwin Vega, however, has done a great job of designing these speakers as everything sounds proportional, nothing is "drowned out" in the upper range of the freqency scale. These speakers are quite large and do not have any protective covering on the midrange speaker and tweeter, wich in my opinion is a flaw, because it makes the speaker vulnerable to accidental damage. Another dislike is the fact that the fuse holder in the rear of the speaker jams sometimes when replacing fuses and stops the fuse from making proper contact with the power conductors and this causes the speaker to not play. I have noticed that it a random problem and only happens sometimes (both speakers). Overall however, this speaker sounds excellent and is affordable.

Strengths:
BASS!! treble and midrange are accurate and clear also. Fuse protection is an essential safety feature that Cerwin Vega incorporated into this speaker (especially when driving them with a high power amplifier... 260RMS and above per channel). Very efficient speaker, can be driven with an amplifier as low powered as 20 WPC (RMS)

Weaknesses:
No Cover grille on midrange speaker and tweeter. Jamming fuse holder is also a concern.
