Price Paid:  $150.00 from B&O retail store

Summary:
B&O leads the audio/video industry with innovative technology products so it's no surprise to me that they would make an outstanding products such as the a8, the design is sleek and classy and the sound that pumps out of these tiny little speakers is mind blowing crystal clear and clean, yes its a bit pricey but why compromise your hearing to garbage your ears deserve the best sound that can be delivered,B&O hit this one out of the park.

Strengths:
crstal clear, beautiful state of the art design, small compact, flexable to the ear adjustment.

Weaknesses:
Bass is not great however, not other size speakers for earphones but still delivers great mid-ranges and precise clarity.

Similar Products Used:
bose, no comparison.

Price Paid:  $160.00 from Bang & Olufsen Summi

Summary:
First off, I would like to point out that I am a 15-year-old audiophile. We're a rare breed, but we do exist. It drives me crazy when people listen to their iPods using only one earbud, especially when that earbud is white and apple-branded. Anyway, these earphones are probably the best I have used. I have tried models from Grado, Shure, Audio-Technica, and Yuin, none of which even compare to the clarity of the B&O's. I also have the Form 2's, which do sound a bit better, but are much more cumbersome and are best left alone in my studio

Strengths:
- Excellent Tonal Clarity
- Fits in iPhone with simple modifications
- Relatively inexpensive for the quality
- Comfortable
- Free pads from the B&O Store when you need them
- Well built
- Carrying case + extension cable are nice additions

Weaknesses:
- A bit lacking in bass (not really a problem though, it makes them sound very clear and open)

Similar Products Used:
Yuin PK1+PK2
Grado SR60,SR80
The entire AKG line
Shure e4c
Ultimate Ears Triple.Fi
B&O Form 2

STRUCTURLY AMAZEING,THERE ARE PEOPLE OUT THERE WHO WILL SAY JUST A NAME,WRONG WRONG AND WRONG AGAIN.MADE IN DENMARK! FIT OVER THE EAR AND AS ALL THE PARTS MOVE YOU CAN PLACE THEM DIRECTLY ON THE EAR,THIS ALLOWS AIR AND SOUND TO MIX AND THEREFORE GIVE YOU THAT INCREDIBLE SOUND.

Strengths:
INCREDIBLE SOUND,MODERN DESIGHN,GREAT PRICE CONSIDRING ANYTHING CLOSE IS AROUND £200/250.

Weaknesses:
NONE AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED

Review 4 of 34

Price Paid:  $160.00 from Qantas Airways Fligh

Summary:
Clear and crisp sound. Buy these if you don’t want to be lugging around “DJ” style headphones, but want similar tonal ranges and sound quality.

Strengths:
Limited bass – perhaps – but do any in-ear headphones pump out ear-popping beats? The strengths of the A8 headphones are the clean and crisp midrange. Full range of tone is picked up and is not distorted with an increase in volume. Vocals, rock, guitar, pop, dance…all the different tracks used in a song can be heard and appreciated.

Weaknesses:
The earphones come with a piece of black foam for each of the earpieces. It is recommended to use these if you have sensitive ears. If you don’t, throw them away. They’re a nuisance, get dirty easily and destroy the aesthetic quality of the headphones.

The headphones can be frustrating to use and adjust at first but after a few days it becomes second nature.

Similar Products Used:
Apple headphones: The apple headphones (when new) have acceptable sound quality. However, with frequent use sound quality deteriorates. This occurs because the wires become damaged, especially if you wrap the cords around your device when it isn’t in use.

Another product that I have used is the Bose Quite Comfort 3 headphones. These headphones offer better sound quality than the B&O A8 headphones on a plane as they have noise cancellation technology. It’s a shame they are over three times the cost.

Review 5 of 34

Price Paid:  $160.00 from Apple Store

Summary:
My iPod was a liability until I bought these earphones. I hardly ever enjoyed my iPod because the earphones didn't fit my ears well and kept slipping off resulting in poor sound quality. In addition, there was 'muddled' sound quality in the regular earphones. I bit the bullet and purchased the A8 earphones without listening to them as the stores do not put them on display them, probably due to hygienic reasons. I am glad to say that for the first time, I am able to ENJOY music from my iPod and my collection ranges from Country to Jazz to Pop to Bollywood music. The crisp sound emanated by these earphones provide amazing experience. These earphones probably have given me the best music listening experience and I am carrying them everywhere.

Strengths:
Superb sound quality.
Excellent flexibility for fit.
Unconventional looks.

Weaknesses:
Price.
A bit weaker bass.
Unconventional looks.

Similar Products Used:
iPod earphones, Bose earphones, Bang and Olufsen headphones.
