Review 1 of 4

Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:
Well this is an interesting one...The preamp is compact and well made. I am a vinyl fan and it looks (sounds ;-)) like Audiosource quickly put the phono section together. Lousy and bright... Otherwise I agree with other reviews. Nice CD input. average tuner and tuner sensitivity. The remote is handy.

Strengths:
Concept. CD sound

Weaknesses:
Lousy Phono Sound, acceptable Tuner.

Review 3 of 4

Price Paid:  $375.00 from Merle Landrus Audio/

Summary:
I bought this for a Bedroom system. I was originally going to buy a reciever but had an Audiosource Amp 3 I was''''nt using so I went ahead and bought the Preamp/tuner two. This is a great sounding little pre-amp. It has lots of inputs for audio and video, unfortunately no digital inputs, and two pre-outs for bi-amping, subs ect. The unit was easy to set up and the remote is simple and easy to use. It runs very quiet and I have detected no noise or distortion even at loud levels, with quality CDs anyway. The tuner section works very well and you can pre-set 18 stations which can be accessed by the remote. Another nice feature is the transferable two year warranty. They warrant their products not their customers. In all this would make a good pre-amp for those who still live with two channels.

Strengths:
Great sound, good remote, tranferable warranty, plenty of inputs and outputs

Weaknesses:
No digital inputs

Review 4 of 4

Price Paid:  $350.00 from J&R Music World

Summary:
Bought the product because of video switching and built-in tuner at good price. Hoped and prayed that it would also sound good. Guess what? It does. Had a humming problem when first installed, but a call to the mfr support line was answered in one ring (!!!). Guy said to use a 3 to 2 prong power adapter, which solved the problem.

Strengths:
Functionality of lots of audio and video inputs without home theater BS. Better sound than my Adcom.

Weaknesses:
Unadjustable gain makes it so loud that I never go past 10 oclock on the volume dial.
