Review 2 of 6

Price Paid:  $500.00

Summary:
I sold it because I could sell a new Pioneer CT-93. Looks similar, but has better features except for the remote control

Strengths:
very good sound with almost every kind of tape, high quality built, remote control, well thought trough deck

Weaknesses:
The cassettedoor didn't always shut totally when a tape is put in. So you had to give it a little push to close it right. No Dolby S and just one direct driven motor for both capstans instead of two

Review 3 of 6

Price Paid:  $500.00 from Hong Kong

Summary:
Over 10 years be my best partner, it is never let me down when I make the recordings. I'm the first and the only owner of this unit, and I bought it 10 year ago in Hong Kong at around USD500. Although, tape recorder seems like fade-out from the audio world, if you don't want to invest on a DAT recorder GX-95 MKII is a best buy. Of cause, if you can find one at the used market. As I mention before, the source to the GX-95II is LHH-800R, the signal is passing through the McIntosh C37 pre-amp; difference can be hear the CDs and the tapes, but you cannot tell which one is better. Sometime I even prefer the sound come from the Gx-95II, it is more musical and live! One more thing need to be mentioned, the cables. I use two pair of Cello AS One to be the I/O connection, please using some high quality cables. This tape deck is cable sensitive.

Strengths:
10 years to prove it's durability! No complain even compare with Philps LHH-800R CD player.

Weaknesses:
The LED display is not that clear.

Similar Products Used:
Don't need to have other tape recorders.

Best deck I ever have, hope to have it many years.

Strengths:
livetime gurantee, best hifi qualities in this category

Weaknesses:
