I bought this used over the internet back 1995, although I don't use it often but I
do on occasion use it to tape digital music from cable to play in the car and home.
I've used/owned many tape decks in years past and nothing comes close to
the Akai GX-8. It still looks and operates as NEW! When it does finally die, I'll
be done with tape cassettes, until then, I'll keep using it. Strengths:
Triple head, durable, crsip sound (even for tape!). Weaknesses:
Large size makes it a difficult fit for some rack systems. Similar Products Used:
Teac, Sony, Panasonic.
