from Adire website Summary: I can't believe there's no reviews on this sub! I have owned and listen to quite a few. It's very hard to find a sub that has the speed and control to keep up with Magnepans or Single Driver Full range speakers. Most will lag behind in the music. Being a sealed design helps keep the woofer in check as well. It only took 30 minutes to get the Rava dialed in. Once it was dialed in though. You get tight, tuneful, well controled bass. It's there then it's gone kind of bass! Not that drawn out bass that makes you naseuas.
Natural without bloat also comes to mind when you set one of these up properly. I've listened to the Rel subs which are nice but way over priced to me.
The Rava gives up nothing in perfomance to their comparable sized sub. It does everything it should do without getting in the way. This is one of those products that is low key but has gobs of performance. For all out assualt movie subs..SVS is on top.But for audiophile listening the Adire Rava gets the nod.
This subwoofer well exceeds it's price in performance. For me it will be around till the cows come home. Strengths: Speed, bass definition, very user friendly
Disappears living nothing but music! Weaknesses: Honestly I can't think of any! Similar Products Used: SVS,JBL,Kenwood,Definitve Tech,Velodyne and probably a few more I've forgotten!
