Review 1 of 31

Price Paid:  $600.00 from A+B Sound

Summary:
Well, ever since I got this tv I have known that the picture could be better. Don't get me wrong, the picture is good, just not great, almost like it needs a little tune up. I have adjusted it with a setup DVD, but there are still some issues. Some people have a green tint and the color is not rich enough. If anyone out there has the same complaints out there, please don't hesitate to email me if you know how to fix it with service menus or what have you.
All of that aside, it's a good, not great tv.

Strengths:
Seems to be built well.

Weaknesses:
I have some issues with the picture. No PIP with component video

Similar Products Used:
Older RCA, hitachi

Review 2 of 31

Price Paid:  $575.00 from Best Buy

Summary:
Great picture, great for dvd's and DBS, had problem with off center picture, but the service menu allows you to correct all of these problems.
My complaint about the PIP not working with component also means that I havn't used the PIP at all, so I can't comment on that, but aside from being heavy there's not much else bad I can say for this tv.

Strengths:
Great picture, Component

Weaknesses:
only 2 vid inputs, no PIP with Component input

Review 3 of 31

Price Paid:  $650.00 from Amazon.com

Summary:
My one peeve that I have found with this TV is some minor (major to me though) geometry problems with the pincusion controls. When watching DVDs, the screen is quite noticably squeezed together of the right side and the upper left corner of the picture is also stanted upward. These are problems that are VERY annoying to me, but most people say that they would have never noticed if I didn't point it out.

This is a great TV picture wise (other than the geometry mentioned above), but lacks many features I would loved to have had!

One, I would liked to have had more functionality with the Picture in picture. It was only very basic.

Two, I would have liked to have seen a setting to turned the internal speakers off like a previous Toshiba TV I owned had.

There are several other features that I think were omitted, but to a point it is understandable. I would say they had to sacrifice some features to keep the sharpness/color quality at a low price.

Anyway, I would test the set out before you purchase it!

Strengths:
Great picture quality other than geometry problems.

Weaknesses:
Screen slightly pinched together on right side, slanted up a tad on the right.

Review 4 of 31

Price Paid:  $400.00 from The Wiz

Summary:
Got this as an open box demo that was discontinued. Great price I think. Picture is great and easily adjusted and calibrated with AVIA to the preferred standards(or at least close). Has all the connections needed, especially if using a receiver for switching. Single tuner picture in picture, who uses that? I would if it were a dual tuner, but hey it is nice to have it. Component video is a nice surprise too. Great picture and easy to use menu earn this thing good marks and it is gonna get lots o use.

Price Paid:  $800.00

Summary:
By far the best TV amongs its class (price and size). Picture quality is stable the factory default settings are a bit high... have to calibrate it properly for the proper picture quality.. i recommend buying a home av dvd disc that can help calibrate your tv.

I just sold it to a friend and bought a 36A60. Will see how that works out.

In any case excellent tv. Quality way better than the SONY Wegas!!!

Strengths:
Colour Stream
SVHS
Excellent picture quality

Weaknesses:
1 Colour stream/1 svhs input only.
Shared Video Jacks

No, you can’t always get what you want. The number of loudspeakers surpassing the cost of a decent family sedan is staggering. Then there are speakers that cost as much as a house.
