Price Paid:
$699.00
from B.J.s Warehouse Summary: I read the reviews here and elsewhare about this set for a least 3
months before I purchased it in earley Dec.2001.This set has been
short of great right out of the box. I compleatly set it up by myself. I
to on libe to Toshiba.com and dowdloaded the manual, that was a
great help, so that when it came time to hook it up to my, Digital Cable
Box, my new Toshiba DVD, the Sony VCR and The Sony Stero. I had
all of the contion wires and cables that I needed before I brought it
home.
It has not been the least of a problem since the day I took it out of the
box and plugged it in Strengths: The dual tunner is just what I needed with the digital Cable box so I am
able to record Pay for view and watch the regular channels.I know
you can do this with other 2 tunner sets, but the picture is outstand
ing.also, I would say it is the next best to HDTV. Weaknesses: None found to date. Similar Products Used: None to copare with at this PRICE.

Price Paid:
$900.00
from Best Buy Summary: If you are looking for a 36 inch sized TV or less, then look no further. This has it all from Dual tuner PiP, to component hookups. Plus it has two video hookups, plus an extra RF hookup. Picture quality rivals the Sony Wega. But the price definitely is better. Strengths: Multiple hookup including dual RF''s and component inputs. Weaknesses: NONE Similar Products Used: Toshiba 27 inch

Price Paid:
$1200.00
from - Summary: Great TV, nice picture. As said above, go digital or go with this TV. You can't really beat this TV, the only thing that might compare is a really nice $1500 Sony. Overall, I haven't had one problem with this television. I'd recommend it to anyone. Strengths: Great Picture. Either go with this or go Digital. A big-screen projection isn't worth it, a nice 36" works better if you ask me. Weaknesses: None that I know of.

Review 4 of 15
Price Paid:
$799.00
from Best Buy Summary: I looked at various TV's and I realized at the time I did not want to spend around $2000 for the HDTV-ready TV's. Therefore, I looked at standard pictures and decided on buying a picture tube because they just impressed me more than the standard rear projections. The only TV that I considered other than the Toshiba was the Sony Wega because these were the only TVs that had Component hookups. However, I did not want to spend $1,500 for a regular picture TV (overpriced & overrated).
The Toshiba's picture is wonderful and it truly looks wonderful when playing DVD's using the Component hookups. The curvature in the tube is minor, not to mention you have to pay twice as much for the flat Wega. I have no complaints with television watching and the sound is fine for watching normal TV (I use my DTS/Digital receiver for movies).
The price is very nice for the quality/price and I have been a happy user for over 6 months. Strengths: Picture, Component Inputs, Price Weaknesses: Location of Menu button & Exit button on remote control

Review 5 of 15
Price Paid:
$900.00
from Best Buy Summary: I too started out looking for a small projection TV. After planning on spending $2500 and researching for months I just could not bring myself to spend $2500 for a TV. I started looking at 36" TV's and was drawn to the sony WEGA, it did have a great picture but again it was $1500. I did some online research and a lot of browsing and decided on the Toshiba for $900.
I love it! The picture is remarkable, I was especially drawn to the componet video connection that this model offers. The clarity when watching a DVD is amazing! The remote is well designed and can operate the VCR and cable box.
The only negative I have found is that when using the PIP there is a green border around the PIP and it casts a green tint to the surrounding picture, it is very bold. It is really a minor annoyance because I rarely use the PIP function.
One word of advice, when you are shopping fo a TV in a warehouse store, Best Buy etc., TV's appear mutch smaller than actual size. I was disapointed that I settled for the 36" insted of the 52" big screen, however once I unloaded this 250 pound monster and drug it into my living room it looked huge!!! There is no way a 52" TV would have looked right. Strengths: Great Picture, Remote control Weaknesses: Green Box around PIP Similar Products Used: Zenith 25"
