Summary:
I have always been impressed with Toshiba televisions. Their main source of competition has been Sony, which does make a very good product, but I found the Toshiba to bit a bit more vivid and offer a higher value. The tuner seems to be very good with most stations, but has a little trouble with high end of the band. Nothing major and still above average. The sound is typical for this type of television, which is adequate via the on board speakers. The stereo separation is very good, but they are puny speakers that really don't do any justice to sound quality. I have my 32" hooked up to a Kenwood VR209 receiver and Paradigm Reference home theater system. The sound quality with this relatively inexpensive setup is excellent. Very little noise and excellent sound reproduction though the entire frequency range. The souce is a Panasonic DVD player connected to the Component inputs on the T.V. with AR cables. The picture is wonderful with very little noise. I have also tried the S-Video inputs and found the differences be subtibly better for the component inputs. If you only S-Video sources, you will not be disappointed with the picture quality, depending on your source. There is only one feature Toshiba should have added to this television; disabling the red "Power On" LED. I found it very annoying at first, but now I don't even notice it. All the Toshiba models at the time had it and it still baffles me why it is so bright. Overall, this was an excellent set for the money at the time and I have not had any problems. Unless you are comfortable with your way around service menus, I highly recommend a professional calibration to bring out the best possible picture. If you consider yourself a budget videophile, this is money well spent.

Strengths:
Vivid picture, excellent OSD, better than average tuner, good value

Weaknesses:
For the best possible picture, needs to be tweaked via service menu.

Moscode 402Au OLT stereo power amplifier Review

George is adamant about the fact that the Moscode 402Au is not just a tube gain stage slapped onto a solid-state power amplifier; rather, it is a tube amplifier with a MOSFET output stage.

A new driver from Lowther is real news. A new five inch driver is even rarer news, so it was with great anticipation that I waited on this pair of speakers to arrive.

Aune Mini Headphone DAC User Review

The unit arrived from China well packed and everything seem to be in place. No external abuse by the carriers. The only problem was the power supply it came with. The box came with a cheap step-down converter.
