Review 1 of 4

Price Paid:  $400.00 from Best Buy

Summary:
The inputs s-video,component, av inputs and av outputs make this set complete. The toshiba 27A43 has these same outputs. The picture is clear from both DVD and VHS sources. In my review of the 27A43 I said I paid 400 but is was 280. Sorry

Strengths:
every thing especially the av ouputs and not just audio ouputs like sony

Weaknesses:
none

Review 2 of 4

Price Paid:  $360.00 from Future Shop

Summary:
I bought this T.V. after a few months of casual shopping. After comparing most of the available 27" affordably-priced flat-screens, the Toshiba became clear as the best bang-for-the-buck, even when adding in the criteria of size. Great picture.

Strengths:
Picture quality (colour contrast, sharpness, blacks), all the input jack options, widescreen format, price!!

Weaknesses:
sound isn't hot, but who doesn't use sound reinforcing equipment these days?

Similar Products Used:
many lazy hours of video/t.v. shopping...

Review 3 of 4

Price Paid:  $479.00 from Centrale A/V

Summary:
Just picked this up as a replacement for my 2nd TV. Did the usual research. Saw this set side-by side with the JVC I-Art 27 inch and the Sony KV27FS100. Comparable, but I prefer the Toshiba. Great-looking set ,great color, decent sound, a really good picture overall. No geometry problems whatsoever. I'm using a regular cable signal (coax) that has been split twice, and most channels come in really clear. I'm impressed. Has all the connections you'll need (even though I'm not taking advantage of them yet - hey it's a bedroom TV :-))

Strengths:
Picture, picture, picture

Weaknesses:
Remote (not intuitive)

Review 4 of 4

Price Paid:  $0.00 from Sears

Summary:
I looked at all the features offered in 27" TV's and for the money there is no better buy in my opinion. This is just an absolutely superb television set. Picture quality is exceptional. (Flat-screen is the only way to go.) I own two other sets (Sony 24" V300 and a JVC AV-32"D501)and this Toshiba has a better picture. I will say the Sony has better sound quality though. (I work @ the moment for a major retailer which sells most of the TV brands so I had a real good oportunity to observe/judge and decide.) I highly recommend you audition this set and judge for yourself. Great TV! It has been a pleasure to be the first to review this set!

Strengths:
Superb picture quality. (Flat Screen)Great looking set. Great value for the money. Has a headphone jack! Go out and buy some Sennheiser HD-433 headphones and you'll enjoy late night listening w/o distrubing others in the household. I sense top quality control. Learning remote-control. All the inputs you could use. S-video/Composite and an excellent audio output. Sleep timer. Relatively easy to set-up and use. Also has a 16:9 (widescreen) feature, which allows you to switch picture size between a 4:3(normal) and 16:9 (widescreen).

Weaknesses:
Sound quality is good. However, my 24" Sony V300 (Which has a higher retail price) sounds better. Small buttons (the usual story) for some features on the remote-control. The strenghts of this TV completely/totally outweigh any one minor weakness.
