Price Paid:
$350.00
from Best Buy Summary: This review is for the 27A51 model, which I believe is the 2001 version. Before going out and buying a TV, I made sure to do some research. After consulting reviews in Consumer Reports as well as feedback from consumers on websites such as Audioreviewm, I narrowed my choices the Toshiba and a Sony, which were both highly rated. Ultimately, I decided to go with the Toshiba because I thought I would get more bang for my buck (For the same price, the Toshiba came with PIP).
So far I could not be happier. This TV has an amazing picture clarity and pretty good sound quality (IMO). It replaces a 25" Sanyo and the difference is literally night and day. Another thing to consider is its size. I have a rather narrow entertainment center that ruled out several larger 27" TVs outright. The Toshiba is only something like 26.25 inches wide which is not much wider than the 25" Sanyo it replaced. So that may be something to consider for those of you with space constraints. Strengths: Quality of picture, Picture in Picture, Pretty good sound, Size Weaknesses: None so far Similar Products Used: Zenith 27", Sony 27", Sanyo 25"

Price Paid:
$349.00
from Best Buy Summary: Great 27" TV. If you're not looking for a 27" tabletop, don't settle for something around $240-270, go ahead and get this TV, you won't regret it. It features component video input which is great for dvds, a 3 line digital comb filter (almost 0 dot crawl!), blackstripe II picture tube, 2 a/v iputs and 1 a/v output. Good Buy at 350 when I bought it, but you can probably find it cheaper now!
Strengths: Great Picture, Component and S Video Inpus, Good Price Weaknesses: Screen curvature, depth, no front a/v inout Similar Products Used: Sanyo 25" TV

Price Paid:
$400.00
from Best Buy Summary: To look good, this TV must be properly calibrated using Video Essentials or the Avia DVD. I'll save you the $50. The brightness, sharpness, color temperature, and contrast are the same with the composite and component inputs, but the Tint and Color settings are quite different. All levels are relative to the mid-point setting.
Component Color Temperature: Warm Contrast: -3 Brightness: -1 Sharpness: as low as it will go Color: -1 Tint: +2
Composite: Color: 0 (exactly the mid setting) Tint: -2 Strengths: Component Inputs, Great Comb Filter, Adjustable Color Temp Weaknesses: Factory video settings absurd Similar Products Used: Phillips 27"
