Review 1 of 5

Price Paid:  $0.00 from Best Buy

Summary:
I've had my Symphonic tv/vcr combo for about a year and I've had no problems with it. The rental play feature is necessary when playing older or well used tapes, but that takes all of two seconds to set up. I've both used it for recording and watching videos and never once had any problem with tapes getting eaten or sticking. I think it is a great little inexpensive television.

Strengths:
Easy to use menu

Review 2 of 5

Price Paid:  $100.00 from WalMart

Summary:
We bought two of these T.V.'s and within 1 month after we purchased them, both of them started skipping (like the tracking was off) when the movies were played. THEY STINK! DO NOT BUY THEM!

Strengths:
Color was OK

Weaknesses:
The VCR was the reason we bought it and they never worked.

Review 3 of 5

Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:
My family and I bought a Symphonic 13" TV/VCR combo for Christmas 2002. After only about 3-4 weeks of occaisional use the tapes started sticking in it and were very difficult as well as time consuming to remove. We still have the TV/VCR but can only use it with adult supervision. The tapes still are very difficult to get out and sometimes they don't want to go in very well either. I would not reccomend buying this to ANYONE. It seemed like a good deal but when it only works for a few weeks, it really is NOT a good deal. I have had no luck contacting Symphonic for help of this problem--and I have tried. DON'T BUY!

Review 5 of 5

Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:
I bought a Symphonic 13" color T.V. with VCR for my room. I bought it in about September of 2002 and I really didnt start using it until October 2002. It is currently early April of 2003. This morning my television starting making strange noises that sounded sort of like everything was in slow motion. The picture was messed up and it looked kind of like a broken filmstrip or something. So, I turned it off and later when I turned it on again it was making strange low, longer noises then before. I turned it off again. Hours later, when I turned it on it worked but the sound was not working. Then a few seconds later, it completeley shut off. Now, the sound does not work, nor the picture. it makes those strange low, long noises again too. I highly DO NOT recommend this product or any Symphonic products. Also, my television set did not include a warranty, guarantee, address, or phone number!

The unit arrived from China well packed and everything seem to be in place. No external abuse by the carriers. The only problem was the power supply it came with. The box came with a cheap step-down converter.
