Review NaN of , from Boston, MA

Price Paid:  $900.00 from Sony Outlet Wrenthem MA

Summary:
I just bought it last night at the Sony Outlet store in Wrentham, MA and for $900 I figured it would be worth the gamble. Hopefully, "Refurbished" means that a quality Sony tech put in the time to make the issue areas go away. Last night the screen looked awesome, hopefully it can stay that way since it's so heavy that I can't even think of the hassle I would have to go through to bring it back.

Strengths:
Great Looking picture, so far

Weaknesses:
Remote I have does not have SWAP button to be able to change the PIP channel

Review NaN of , from Greensburg, PA USA

Price Paid:  $2500.00 from Stereoshop

Summary:
I am afraid I spent all my money way back when and bought this hunk of junk. Now, I have more pressing upgrades lke my receiver and speakers.
Anyways, mine bows on the upper left corner, and it is significant.

On another note, can someone PLEASE tell me how to do the "squeeze trick" on this TV? I know to adjust VSIZ and VHGT in the service menu, but I cannot find the proper values. Can someone that has this set please post the proper numerical values to get as close as accurate 16x9 squeeze?

Thanks

Strengths:
heavy, decent menu

Weaknesses:
everything else

Similar Products Used:
none

Review NaN of , from NY, NY

Price Paid:  $1299.00 from sony outlet, woodbury NY

Summary:
Fortunately, no problems w/ this TV yet other than the
contrast. Whites are too bright. Using movie mode.

I love the 9 PIP. Glad I bought this over the xbr250.
Well worth giving up the wireless headphones for this!

Using Canare component video cables. Returned the Monsters.
Noticed a huge difference in terms of detail and quality of the picture afterwards.

All in all, an excellent buy for the price I paid.
Paid $125 for shipping, but total w/ tax and shipping =
$1500. What a bargain!

Strengths:
9 PIP

Weaknesses:
contrast, Sony giving you the runaround, heavy,
proprietary TV stand (to support 230lb TV)
