Review 1 of 3

Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:
My husband and I got this tv 2 years ago and it has recently stopped working. The estimate to have it fixed is $600 (not worth it). We have checked other reviews in the web and it seems other people had the same issue. We have called Sony to try to negociate a better deal (maybe get the part for free and pay for labor only), but they did not offer any alternatives. The tv was great while it worked, but seems like the life-span could be of about 3 years... we are getting another tv (which wasn't in our budget plans at the moment..) and it is NOT going to be a Sony..

Review 2 of 3

Price Paid:  $1795.00 from Circuit City

Summary:
I bought this CRT TV only 3 1/2 years ago when picture tube tv's were supposedly on their way out. The picture is crisp and colors are sharp, I don't use my surround sound system that much any more because the TV sounds just great without it (I only use my external speakers when watching action DVDs). The component video jacks deliver true HD 1080 x 1920 pixels with high contrast onto it's perfectly flat TV screen. The only time you'll see glare is at very wide angles and you wouldn't be sitting there anyway. I wouldn't trade this Trinitron Wega in for any crt or projection on the market today. This is the best TV I've ever purchased and I think $1,800.00 was a good price for this KV-36HS510 Sony. It's a shame they stopped making them...........

Review 3 of 3

Price Paid:  $1700.00 from PC Richards

Summary:
cable tv (analog) can sometimes look pixelated or "blocky" when the non-defeatable line doubler tries to increase resolution. Example, football players on line of scrimmage are blurry in far camera shot but when they switch to close up shot every bead of sweat is there and the picture almost looks hi-def.

Strengths:
Progressive scan dvd through component inputs. Adjustable white temperature

Weaknesses:
some pixelation of image which varies with size and signal strenth.I can live with any image problems, there minor.

In my judgment the advantage of the MG 1.6 (and other Magneplars), stems from the following: = It is a full-range dipole, and = It has uses low-mass, planar drivers for the whole audio spectrum. These attributes account for its extraordinary clarity, coherence, “air”...
