Summary:
Based upon reviews of Samsung products and the way this Monitor looked in the store. I decided to go with the HD3297 HF. First, I found the box to be much larger than anticipated and the television certainly looked a lot smaller in the store. In my bedroom the thing is MASSIVE and it's certainly heavier than the 147 pounds claimed in the specs. That being said I found the set up to be simple and straightforward.

The onscreen menus, manual and remote are good if not great. Remotes a little chubby but most should be able to handle it. The monitor has better than average speakers in it for those who want to go that route, but I intend to run surround sound in the bedroom.

The picture is marvelous, particularly with HDTV and DVD with progressive scan. Rich colors and vibrant hues. Two component inputs is also great cause it saves me having to run all the video signals through my receiver. However it's nice to have the option.

This TV is good if not great and I can't wait to see how she handles over the long run.

Strengths:
Picture, multiple component inputs, better than average on-board sound. Good remote, easy on-screen menues and set up. Good manual and finish.

Weaknesses:
Turbo and beep beep noises have to be turned off or they get annoying real quick. Heavy and massive, more than advertised.
