Review 1 of 6

Price Paid:  $600.00 from HH Gregg

Summary:
All I have to say is it is crap, or a lemon. I had the TV 6 months and the tube went out. I had it fixed without any help from HH or RCA. Now I have had it for 1 year and 6 months and it keeps turing on and off on itsown, have been reading on the internet all of the troubles everyones been having with their RCA TVs. I have read that RCA tvs have bad soldering. I am a Indiana native and have grown up with RCA in my state capital. Now they have moved to produce their tvs in Mexico. I think it was a bad move. I know that they were facing Bankuptcy, but why make a peice of crap when everybody wants quality. Their customer sevrice is not good and their product suffers as well.

Review 2 of 6

Price Paid:  $899.00 from The Brick

Summary:
I purchased the RCA F36665 on the strength of some friends advice. I am not dissapointed. The picture quality is good if not very good, with lots of settings and adjustments for different viewing sources. Watching DVDs via the component cables shows stunning details and colors, some of which I have never seen before. I like! I have only had the TV for a couple of days now, but so far great! Some times, not always, you can find a product that performs at the level of much more expensive items. This is one of those finds.

Strengths:
Flexibility. Performance. Price.

Weaknesses:
VPort cable availability. I cannot find a local vendor who has even heard of these cables, much less carries them. Sound of tube as its warming up is annoying, thankfully lasts only briefly.

Similar Products Used:
JVC, Toshiba

Review 4 of 6

Summary:
Got the RCA F36665 for a fairly good deal at under $550 at Fry's Electronics (compared to $899 at most places). On a qcuik side note, I will never buy anything from Fry's Electronics again. Customer service is terrible and the employees are clueless.
As for the TV, fairly good picture quality. Easy to setup, especially when you want to connect a DVD or VCR. The GuidePlus feature is handy too. The only down side is the speakers, which are really weak for a 36" TV. I've heard that RCA has been having problems with this model, but so far nothing has gone wrong yet.

Strengths:
Good value for your money. Lots of features (S-video, PIP, GuidePlus)

Weaknesses:
Weak speakers.

Review 5 of 6

Summary:
Nice television but it has lost sound twice in three months. The first time the EPROM was replaced. One month later, the sound was lost again. The repair shop could not duplicate the problem the second time, so the television was returned. The repair shop expects the television will experience addional problems given time.

Strengths:
Good picture, lots of features

Weaknesses:
It has broke twice in 3 months
