Review 1 of 5

Price Paid:  $300.00 from Best Buy

Summary:
I won't buy another RCA product. I had this TV for 4 years and the picture and sound stopped working one day - took it to a repair shop and found out that the tuner had gone bad. I expect a TV to last much longer than this.

Strengths:
Guide Plus was convenient.

Weaknesses:
Broke after 4 years and would have cost $160 to have repaired.

Review 2 of 5

Price Paid:  $349.00 from Radio Shack

Summary:
I have more information on this set. I found out that the problems I was having with the GuidePlus+ were related to the cable box being hooked up. I now have no cable box on this tv and have no problems with GuidePlus+ whatsoever. The tv still works great and has a fantastic picture. I'm still quite happy with this tv.

Strengths:
GuidePlus+ Picture Quality for the price

Weaknesses:
GuidePlus+ when used with a cable box.

Review 3 of 5

Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:
Although the picture quality is good, the power supply went bad at the two year mark. I've had TVs that have lasted 10 and 15 years with no problems. I don't think their quality control is where it should be. I've had smaller RCA products with similar type malfunctions. I'm stying away from RCA until they can convince me they've addressed this problem.

Review 4 of 5

Price Paid:  $350.00 from Radio Shack

Summary:
I have had much better luck than the previous reviewer, but I feel that his review was very helpful and will probably influence future purchase decisions. I have had two problems with this set. The first was with the G-link cable. It had to be replaced, but was still under warranty. The second is possibly not related to RCA directly. The GuidePlus+ system, although very nice when it works, frequently does not work. I have had to reset it many times and still there will be times when the channel listings are not downloaded. Overall, I like this TV. The picture quality is nice and the connections allow for adequate devices to be linked.

Strengths:
The GuidePlus+ is a strength. It makes recording and viewing upcoming programs simple and fast. I think the price/quality(visual experience) is above average.

Weaknesses:
The GuidePlus+ is a weakness. In my experience, I have had intermittent reliability.

Review 5 of 5

Price Paid:  $450.00

Summary:
I will NEVER purchase another RCA product again!! This set has been in the shop FOUR times. The color went out twice and the picture went haywire. The technician who repaired it informed me that the craftsmanship and the soldering on these sets are absolutely terrible!!

Strengths:
Price

Weaknesses:
Quality
