Strengths:    Easy menu/set-up interface. The ability to split screen and, using front panel headphone jacks, listen to one screen w/headphones and the other screen w/regular speakers/theater system. The "Game" button on remote is excellent for gamers!

Weaknesses:    Hard copy of the Users Manual is difficult to find(I didn't get manual with purchase). Remote is wearing out after 7yrs. Television is very heavy, but size is manageable.

Bottom Line:
Unbelievable picture quality after being used for 5 years. I've had it for 2 more years and the quality is just as good as the day it was calibrated! Ample composite & S-video hook-ups, a few component connections(2). I have enjoyed and will continue to enjoy this television for many more years!

Strengths:    Dynamite picture, outstanding flexibility, understandable manual; accepts all HD sources

Weaknesses:    Must be calibrated for best picture (what set doesn't?), If you don't have delivery or a willing friend, then your'e in trouble

Bottom Line:
This is actually a review of the 2002 version of this TV (CT34WX52). It betters the previous model by incorporating more input flexibility, compatibility with 1080i signals and 3:2 pulldown detection. Having said that, this television by far surpasses anything I have seen short of the top .00001% of consumer displays. Seriously, for about 2 grand you can have a picture that rivals ANYTHING, ANYWHERE. Mind you, this is after professional calibration of course (between $150 and $300 extra, depending on where you find it). Out of the box, the factory settings are eye burning and must be adjusted. A livable picture can be had simply by using a calibration disk (avia or video essentals) and setting the temperature to warm. However the difference between pre and post calibration is mind boggling. My set pushed red (as has every panasonic set I have owned) and had some pin cushioning effects. Calibration rendered true greyscale, convergence & geometry and a picture that is to dye for. Colors leap off the screen. Fine detail is abundant - the image approaches film quality. The internal line doubler does a wonderful job with over the air and satellite sources, producing no jagged edges and keeping the picture almost entirely grain free. DVDs are simply breathtaking. Put a reference disk such as Toy Story II in and get ready for the ride of your life (a reference disk has nothing to do with taste). The images are truly 3 dimensional with no pixelation or motion artifacts. Unbeatable in my book. I've yet to make the leap to HD (I'm waiting patiently for my satellite provider to get on the bandwagon), but I know it will outstanding. If you have a small to medium sized room and are looking for a set that is not too imposing (aside from the weight) than look no further.

Strengths:    This TV is the best ever. My dream TV

Weaknesses:    Retailers dont know crap about the TV.

Bottom Line:
This is a must buy if you want a deal the buy it from the panasonic store in costa mesa only 2500 normally 3400(box damaged) People dont know much about this TV but it is truly the best. It has great features and the picture is great. I feel this is the best picture tube you can get honestly. After you have this TV for 10 years you can thankme when it still loks good as new and still blows other sets away.
