Review NaN of , from Clarksville, TN, USA

Price Paid:  $147.00 from Aafes

Summary:
A perfect monitor for anything video, (if the RCA jacks are needed)it was at a perfect price, and manufactured (OEM'd) by Samsung. The flyback transformer is durable over many focusing adjustments. And the picture tube was made of quality, no defects (unlike Thomson/RCA's televisions built in Mexico, which was full of tube imperfections.) JVC chose a good OEMer (Samsung) back in the early 90's. This television is one of the best. Too bad about shortcutting the manufacturing process and a remote that is fragile under normal use.

Strengths:
Very sharp picture, great sound for its size, the ability to connect the television to a stereo. Headphones input is a plus. And was on sale (2000.3)

Weaknesses:
Somewhat stripped (AV on the front is added in the 2000/2001 model). Remote control is fragile.

Similar Products Used:
Sony KV-1946R (1980-1984), KV-27S15 (1993-1996)

Review NaN of , from Salisbury

Summary:
Great overall product, wish they'd come out with more connecting options to a dvd player in the 20" models like s-video or component but I'm pretty happy with the audio in feature. Kinda pricey

Strengths:
Nice remote, great picture and color, excellant sound for a 20" TV

Weaknesses:
While the sound itself is nice it should have a sound leveler I find myself continually adjusting the volume

Review NaN of , from Gainesville, FL

Summary:
This may be the best 20" TV on the market-great picture, decent sound. Good size remote - no fumbling for buttons. I bought a cheapo 19" TV trying to economize but it looked and sounded terrible at home. So back to the store it went and I bought this wonderful 20" TV...its a little expensive (~$260) for a 20", but the picture and sound is great. Cable looks good, and I just got a DVD player (Pioneer DV-525... great machine) and hooked up the RCA video out into the RCA video in on the TV. The picture is fantistic, and the RCA connection is the lowest quality connection ...I can't imagine how a S-video connection would improve the picture. Granted, its small and I'll eventually upgrade to HDTV when the prices drop, but for now I'm very happy. The picture is sharp, contrast excellent, no need to fiddle with the controls. If you need a smallish TV, you can't go wrong with this one. Five stars given the price range.

Strengths:
Picture, sound, value

Weaknesses:
small, but hey, its only 20", could have AV RCA inputs in the front to hook up videocam (they are in the rear)

Review NaN of

Summary:
I originally bought this little tv as a dorm room tv. Yes, i'm still in college(junior). It's not really big enough for home theater. However, it is an awesome little "dorm room tv". One of the sharpest pictures i've ever looked at on a tv. Great for video games as it will bring out the resolution of your system. I am currently using it in my dorm room, along with my home theater equipment.
