Price Paid:  $420.00 from Circuit City

Summary:
This TV is great for the things I use it for. I have a PS2 hooked up to it with S-video and it provides unbelievable picture quality. I also have my DVD player hooked up to it and the picture is just as good. If your looking for a great TV for the price, look no further.

Strengths:
Picture, sound

Weaknesses:
none

Review NaN of

Price Paid:  $430.00 from Circuit City

Summary:
I purchased this TV because of its style and the reputation of the JVC corporation. The TV worked great for the first month or so then, the menu system became "double-imaged." The picture on the TV was great but the menu system was horrible to try to read. I tried to contact JVC and then Circuit City but was sent on an 800 number wild goose chase. I was never able to actually talk to a person at the JVC 800 number and feel let down by the company. Eventually the double-imaging disappeared on its own but with no help from the company. I think the TV had some sort of magnetic reaction which I thought TVs were shielded from through technology. I am disappointed with the TV's operation and the customer service they didn't offer as support.

Strengths:
The look of the TV is very appealing.

Weaknesses:
Very low tolerance to magnetic reactions.

Summary:
I would like to note that in my review below I used the term "shielding".....what I should of said is that this TV is highly prone to magnetic interference as some TVS are more prone to this than others.... this point was brought to my attention my another online member...sorry!
Other than that revision, I stand behind the rest of my review.

Review NaN of , from RI

Price Paid:  $400.00 from Circuitcity

Summary:
Wow,what a disapointment. I bought this set on the advice of the sales man...JVC,THE BEST!...big mistake indeed. First thing is the cheap feel to this set and the lack of options for its picture, and price. The picture contrast between light and dark is little to be desired,as well as the grainy picture that this set produces. It also wobbles back and forth on its own feet and feels very unstable. If your thinking of using this set with a HT setup, think again. This set has NO video shilding that I can see...I put my 2 towers on either side of the entertainment center that all my previous tvs' have sat in. Their have never been any problems except with this set.Color blotches everywhere...very bad indeed. I will say that the sound that this set puts out is great..its a shame that JVC did not put more quality into the set its-self. Cannot recommend this set at the $400.00 price range. Save up another $100.00 and get a flat screen Samsung. You will not be sorry!

Strengths:
The name,JVC which is known to make a great tv,good sound

Weaknesses:
Cheap looking,POOR SHILDING against magnetic fields, grainy picture..seems that JVC put all its work into the sound system.

Similar Products Used:
Samsung..superior in every way to this set
