Review 1 of 12

Price Paid:  $369.00 from AMAZON

Summary:
Great TV for the price, replaced a Sony XBR65.Although I liked my Sony their warrantee sucks.JVC has a 2&2 on this model,Sony is 90days 1 years.Bought through Amazon and had shipping problem. They removed the $79 shipping charge so it only cost $369 delivered.Am very happy with picture and sound, also video inputs as I run 5 VCR's.Only needed 1 A-B switch.Remote is OK but I miss the Sony's ability to change Video inputs by # instead of going through the menu of each input.

Strengths:
Picture, Sound, Size and ESPECIALLY PRICE!

Weaknesses:
Remote for changing video input makes you go through them all to get to the one you want.My Sony had Vid 1 Vid 2 Vid 3 TV on the remote

Review 2 of 12

Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:
This product is great and I have no regrets at all after 2 months. I have had no problem at all, the picture quality is great and even if the sound could be more powerful, I always listen to movies on my own audio system.

Review 3 of 12

Price Paid:  $550.00 from Crutchfield

Summary:
Terrific picture quality and adjustability rivaling more expensive models. This unit replaced a $1200 Proton unit that looked great but broke twice in six years. Picture quality is only average "out of the box," but after 30 minutes of calibration with the Avia test DVD, cable looks as good as your feed will allow (some channels great; others awful), and component video is outstanding, with terrific black levels and very little dot-crawl. On DVDs with high quality photography (films directed by Stanley Kubrick, John Boorman, Alan J. Pakula for example), the image with component video inputs is almost like glass. It''s virtually impossible to judge televisions in any but the best video stores, so I read reviews and took a chance. Service from Crutchfield was outstanding, as usual. You should consider the AVIA Guide to Home Theater calibration DVD as an essential part of your new television purchase.

Strengths:
Great picture IF you calibrate with a test DVD. Easy to set up and adjust. Quasi-universal remote also operates my VCR and DVD.

Weaknesses:
Sound not as rich and deep as the much more expensive Proton. Unit has nice lines, but I''m not crazy about the silver finish.

Similar Products Used:
Chosen over comparable models from Sony, Panasonic, Toshiba and Philips.

Review 4 of 12

Price Paid:  $699.00

Summary:
his TV is excellent because it comes with a lot of features at a decent and affordable price. JVC is known for making top quality products, and this TV is proof of it.When I purchased this TV, setup was simple and easy. The menu is easy to operate, and will have your own personal preference in no time. The TV comes with 1 Component input, 2 S-Video, and 3 A/V inputs. You also get variable/fixed audio outputs. I have my TV hooked up to a stereo, why, because the TV audio isn''t up there like other TVs of the same size and features. Only 5W per speaker. Visual quality is purely excellent, depending on what your looking it.

Strengths:
Good picture, many input/output

Weaknesses:
Only 5 watts/channel

Review 5 of 12

Price Paid:  $899.00 from Futurshop

Summary:
yes its true ErikCK ,I was really hyped to find a flat screen that provided reasonably quality for a decent price. Sony caught my eye first, but I read the horror stories about the pink lines and curved corner. I found JVC’s AV-27F702. I wish I never had. I first tried getting this through sears. That was a mistake. Not even worth writing about. Don''''t bother looking for this in any store period. It was like finding a needle in a haystack. I made up my mind I would have to order it from Crutchfield and wait. They actually processed it and sent it to me fast and their service is out of this world. Well I ordered this TV thinking it would be the sh*t and it turns out it''''s sh*t. Running off component video I noticed flickering all over the screen and the dot crawl is crazy. One look at white lettering on a black background and you will see what I mean. And running a satellite off composite during a black screen there is a vertical white shade on the left side of the screen. That was most noticed during changing channels. The remote lights up the four biggest buttons, which are the channel buttons and volume in the middle of the remote. Tell me what that helps. Like anyone couldn''''t find those in the dark. The number buttons are so small it''''s silly. Not what I was looking for at over half a thousand smackers. Can''''t wait to get it out of my house. It''''s making me sick.

Strengths:
ON/OFF switch.

Weaknesses:
color, sharpness, nothing compare to other real flat screen. :(
