from Centre HiFi Summary: I bought this tv to replace a 13 year old Sony 27 inch model that was getting dark in the picture. Though this model is smaller, the flat screen makes it look almost as large. The picture quality is very good. The colors are accurate and rich and the clarity is very sharp. The sound is good but coming from only two small side speakers it is handicapped. The only imperfection I have found with this model is the lack of an antialiasing feature. Straight lines like those of walls tend to look jagged depending on how the camera moves across the image. If the image is being panned horizontally then there is no problem but if the straight line is coming toward you at an angle to the horizontal it appears slightly jagged. It is a minor point and not very distracting but noticeable.
The TV came with component connections another plus over other models I looked at in this price range. Strengths: Excellent picture color and clarity. Component video connections. Weaknesses: Straight line obects in the picture appear jagged when moving accross the screen at an angle to the horizontal. I believe this to be an antialiasing problem. Similar Products Used: Sony 27" and a JVC 20"

Price Paid:
$0.00 Summary: I purchased this after comparing with the JVC flat screen. The Toshiba 24" had better picture quality.I initially hooked it up using the standard coax from my DTH satellite and was fairly pleased with the picture. I then hooked it up using the SVHS connection and man, what a sharp clear picture with exceptionally amazing colors! I went nuts adjusting the picture and finally reset it to factory default
...no adjustments necessary! The close-up shots make this TV really show what it''s made of...distance shots are good, but do not allow this baby to really shine. The sound is very good as well. One minor complaint.... All in all, I give this unit very high marks for picture quality. Strengths: Color sharpness 2 strong for a simple jvc owner. Weaknesses: none of weaknesse compare to jvc tv

from The Bay (Canada) Summary: I purchased this after comparing with the Toshiba 24" flat screen. The JVC had better picture quality and a 2 year warranty (in Canada). I initially hooked it up using the standard coax from my DTH satellite and was fairly pleased with the picture. I then hooked it up using the SVHS connection and man, what a sharp clear picture with exceptionally vibrant colors! I went nuts adjusting the picture and finally reset it to factory default
...no adjustments necessary! The close-up shots make this TV really show what it''s made of...distance shots are good, but do not allow this baby to really shine. The sound is very good as well. One minor complaint...the manual lists a code to control my DTH satellite but the remote only controls a very small part of the satellite''s capabilities. All in all, I give this unit very high marks for picture quality. Strengths: Exceptional picture! Weaknesses: May find some with more use. Similar Products Used: Sony, Samsung, RCA

from The Good Guys Summary: This TV rocks!!! Was going to buy the Sony wega flat screen, but after looking at the picture side by side I went for the JVC I'art 24" flat screen. Plus this set has a component input, the Sony 24" did not. After I hooked up my dvd player ( Denon DVD-800 ) via the component cables, all I could say was WOW!!!! This is one of the most amazing TV's I have ever seen in the under $500 price range. Before anyone goes out and buys the Sony 24" flat just because of the name, Check out the JVC I'art. Strengths: Picture, component video input, and looks. Weaknesses: Remote Similar Products Used: Sony 20" Trinitron
