Review 1 of 1

Price Paid:  $6500.00 from internet

Summary:
I purchased this projector 4 weeks ago and mounted it to my ceiling with no problems. The picture quality was very good and an excellent menu/navigation setup. The fan noise was more noticeable than the Marantz VP-12S2. Last week, I noticed one of the pixel in the middle of the screen was black and appeared malfunction. I called customer support and at first they said they'll fax information to ship the unit back to fix the problem. I waited and waited but no fax. I called again and now customer support said they had to review the case because a certain number of dead pixel was acceptable. I am OUTRAGED. No where in the brochure or the sales people told me about 'acceptable' dead pixels. When you spend $6500+ on a projector, no dead pixels are acceptable within the warranty period. Buyers beware. If this is how they manage quality control, the future looks dim.

Strengths:
Picture quality Well designed menu Ease of use

Weaknesses:
Dead Pixel (built quality) POOR CUSTOMER SUPPORT Fan noise

Magnepan Magneplanar MG 1.6 User Review

In my judgment the advantage of the MG 1.6 (and other Magneplars), stems from the following: = It is a full-range dipole, and = It has uses low-mass, planar drivers for the whole audio spectrum. These attributes account for its extraordinary clarity, coherence, “air”...
