Price Paid:  $1600.00 from www.tigerdirect.com

Summary:
Recently purchased my first digital projector and made the mistake of not looking for component video inputs. Then I upgraded to this BenQ projector and it has been fantastic...a great picture, brightness, etc. If you have not experienced the component video quality over S video, there is no other choice. It's worth the money to get a projector with component video inputs. This projector is connected to a medium-priced Sony DVD player with a high quality component video cable.

Strengths:
XGA resolution. HDTV ready. Component video, USB, S video, composite video inputs. Progressive scan ready (if your dvd player generates this output).
Bright (1600 lumens).
Quiet (quieter than most that I've tried out).
Affordable + 3 yr warrenty!

Weaknesses:
Contrast could be better, but I think this characteristic is due to imaging on a white surface...it can never be a dark as a tube.

Similar Products Used:
A lower end BenQ w/out component (don't waste your time with these types)
